Surround Sound System

By Paul Gamahe

A simple home theater is simple to arrange because all you need is a TV that measure larger than twenty seven inches (advocated), a DVD or Blue-Ray player along with three speakers. That may be enough to provide you with the home entertainment you might enjoy with an almost cinematic experience. Why would I say almost, when I'm sure you want the exact feeling of a theater, while there's other equipment you may integrate to finish the home theater experience that will surely guarantee a cinematic experience right in your own home. You can still improve on the 3 basic elements through installing home entertainment furniture - though, all depends on the budget you set.

Home theater professionals advise that you need to find a decent size television set for your setup however a good size does not necessarily mean the largest you can find in the shop. A decent size television is dependent on the area in your home in which you'll set up the home theater, simply bear in mind that big is not always the greatest.

Another recommendation is for you to locate speakers that can provide you surround sound from high quality speaker units. In addition, you must to be sure that if you do not locate the speaker system that gives you a good surround sound, you must be in a position to return it. There are speaker systems which sound great in a store but when you place it inside a room, might not sound great enough to satisfy your requirements therefore if that store allows replacement, then that is a decent bargain. Additionally, you may need to select a high quality player which delivers a clear, crisp non-flickering image.

Knowing how big the room in which you'll install this home theater will be the basis of how big the television needs to be. The size of the room is another consideration for the amount of speaker units as if this room is huge, you may need more than the standard 3. Installing a sub-woofer might also do good to achieve the best surround sound if your home theater is placed in a large area.

All these will give you the best home theater experience. A home theater designer may be of assistance in ensuring you've the greatest arrangement which would provide you the greatest available movie experience right in your living room.

Thriller: Michael Jackson's 1982 Classic Album

By Sarah Jones

Track 1: "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" - There's more great ideas in this one pop song than there is in the entirety of most pop albums.

Track 2: "Baby Be Mine" - Not as remarkable as some of the other classics on this album but still a really great song with an outstanding performance from MJ (as usual.)

Track 3: "The Girl Is Mine" - Paul McCartney joins Michael Jackson on this silly love song (that Michael wrote.) Yes, it's silly but it's still a nice little tune and I like the playful interaction between these two music legends.

Track 4: "Thriller" - So much attention is given to the "Thriller" music video (for good reason) that I sometimes feel like the song itself is overlooked. But I guess that's not really true, is it?

Track 5: "Beat It" - MJ's version of rock music includes a great Eddie Van Halen guitar solo that made this song the favorite Michael Jackson song for many rockers.

Track 6: "Billie Jean" - Still sounds fresh over 25 years later. This is a song that "commands people to the dance floor." And you should know that MJ wrote this brilliant pop song himself.

Track 7: "Human Nature" - My favorite ballad on Thriller. In fact it may be my favorite Michael Jackson ballad ever.

Track 8: "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" - There are so many things I love about this song. The incredible energy in Michael's voice. The "robot" & "chipmunk" voices. The irresistible urge to dance that it gives me. A great song.

Track 9: "The Lady In My Life" - This is probably the most forgettable song on the album but it still has some really nice moments. Particularly once it gets going after a somewhat lethargic beginning.
